Position Details

Position Description: Under general supervision, performs secretarial work for the Online & Distance Education (ODE) and Individual Studies units; provides support for distance education students and faculty; serves as an enrollment contact for degree programs and distance courses; schedules distance education courses via the SIS; prepares PAFs and offer letters; monitors enrollments and completions for assigned degree programs; prepares and routes Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) to faculty and department heads for approval; supports Associate Director with financial transactions and account reconciliation; prepares and compiles data to help inform operational decisions and procedures; coordinates daily outreach to students as part of the division's strategic promotional efforts; assists with the recruitment of distance students through UNI's Client Management System (CRM), including non-routine correspondence; assists with specialized projects and event planning; supports the overall efforts of the Individual Studies unit, including Guided Independent Study (GIS) and National Student Exchange (NSE); and performs other duties as assigned. This is a first shift position with a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Required Qualifications: Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to four years of full-time employment and includes the use of word processing.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree; excellent organizational and time management skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; ability to keep accurate records; strong computer skills; and knowledge of business and financial processes.
