Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager

Pay Range: $22 - $28 / hour BOE Responsibilities Managing, training and developing a team of 4 to 6 Staff and/or Senior Accountants Monthly financial review of team’s financial statements Lead various department special projects initiatives Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers Performing month-end processes Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods Sold Analysis Balance sheet reconciliations Financials statement analysis Cash flow forecasting and management Sales & Use tax filings Payroll reconciliations Financial statements audits and reviews Perform other accounting functions as directed by senior management Education and Experience Requirements 4-year college degree in accounting or finance preferred 5+ years accounting experience in a fast-paced environment Supervisory experience in an accounting department required CPA (or working towards certification) preferred, but not required A self-starter, that can work independently during the month-end close process Personable and can communicate with accountants and non-accountants alike A multi-tasker that can work in multiple sets of books while meeting their required deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent computer skills Accounting software applications experience (Sage, MAS 500 preferred) About Troon Troon started as one facility in 1990 and has since grown to become the world’s largest professional club management company.
