Creating and delivering a great training program starts with conducting a thorough needs assessment. It’s important that you, the person tasked to meet with the client to understand who is the training audience, and what the client expects the training will accomplish - what behavior will change as a result of this training. You need to go into these fact gathering meetings prepared and this class will help you. This 90-minute Zoom training session will help you organize the right questions to ask to get a firm understanding of the situation, the audience, the needs of the organization to ensure that the course is the right fit, for the right audience, and is presented at the appropriate level for the participants. By the end of this session you will: • Feel confident in your abilities as a training professional by following the ADDIE methodology. • Select and tailor the necessary needs assessment questions so you have a clear knowledge of the training audience, the organization, the current situation, the desired end result the client expects along with how training success will be measured. • Understand all the internal and external barriers that may interfere with the training success and explore options to mitigate those with the client to improve success. • Discuss required resources for training with client (content, technology, facilities, and human/SME) • Communicate the abilities of the training that will be provided and where necessary, clarify non-training goals.
