Our Economic Power to Improve the World Thursday, May 13, 12:00-1:00 pm
As a money coach and volunteer at Dorothy's House, a home for women rescued from human trafficking, Joey Beech has witnessed first-hand the transformational change of gaining financial independence. She has helped women who have had money used against them, learn how to use money to protect them. Dorothy's House is just one example of how we can improve the world when women help other women. The ripple effect is endless when we use our economic power to elevate others.
We are thrilled to have author and speaker, Joey Beech, as our featured presenter for our virtual Women for Good program in May! As a leader in our community, we hope you consider joining us for this event.
Joey is on a mission to help women flex their money muscle. She learned valuable financial lessons early in life as she watched her mother struggle to keep a roof over her family’s head. She then worked her way through college and spent 20 years working in the financial industry.
When her daughter started her career, Joey saw a need for clear, objective financial information. She decided to combine her personal stories and professional knowledge to help young women understand the financial impacts of their decisions. The result was A Girl’s Guide to Personal Finance.
Joey lives in Ankeny, Iowa where she and her husband raised their two children. Learn more about Joey at agirlsguidetofinance.com.
