During the pandemic, food insecurity has risen to the highest levels since 2008 and more food has been distributed than ever, according to Barb Prather, Executive Director of the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Join us for “Windows on Waterloo” on Thursday, December 3 at 11 am to learn how the Northeast Iowa Food Bank is responding to this great community need. The Food Bank’s mission is to provide nutritious food and grocery products to nonprofit organizations and individuals in northeast Iowa while offering hunger education to the community and those in need. Every day their staff strives to meet the need in Waterloo, Black Hawk County and northeast Iowa. This educational event is sponsored monthly by the Waterloo Community Foundation, a nationally-accredited foundation
