Union Block Book Club: The Anxious Generation
The Union Block Funders (Black Hawk County Gaming Association, McElroy Trust, Otto Schoitz Foundation and the Waterloo Community Foundation) are excited to invite you to participate in a learning opportunity with us. The mental health of young people has become a growing concern in recent years, and we hope to provide time and space to explore this topic together.
We’re going to dive into Jonathan Haidt’s insightful work, The Anxious Generation: How Today's Young People Are Struggling with Mental Health. In this thought-provoking book, Haidt explores the rising mental health challenges faced by young people, offering a critical examination of how societal shifts, technology, and cultural pressures have shaped their experiences.
