QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer. These three simple steps can help save the life of a suicidal person, and they can be learned by anyone. It only takes about an hour to learn them. In 2020, suicide was among the top 9 leading causes of death for people ages 10-64, and was the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-14 and 25-34, according to the CDC website. And yet, suicide is the most preventable cause of death. By the end of this free training, you will become a QPR certified to recognize the warning signs of suicide; know how to offer hope; and know how to get help and save a life.
