Cierra D. Newman is an Assistant General Counsel & Vice President in the Technology, Digital & Innovation section of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Based in the Washington D.C. office, Cierra provides legal support for innovation initiatives, including strategic partnerships and product counseling related to innovative product and service offerings. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Cierra served as an Attorney-Advisor to the Executive Branch's Office of the Comptroller of Current ("OCC"), an independent bureau of the U. S. Department of Treasury in Washington D. C. In her role, Mrs. Newman supported a wide variety of legal matters including preparing the Comptroller for congressional testimony, ensuring national banks are providing fair and non-discriminatory access to financial services, treating customers fairly, and complying with applicable laws. Prior to joining the Executive Branch, Mrs. Newman worked for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, Bank of America's Office of Fair Lending, and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as a legal advisory associate. Mrs. Newman received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) with honors from the University of Iowa College of Law, her B.A. in Business Administration from Queens University and is a graduate of Cedar Falls High School, Class of 2006. Mrs. Newman and her husband, Mr. Landon Newman split their time between Waterloo, Iowa, where they are currently working on a historic preservation project in downtown Waterloo and Washington D. C. where they work and reside with their two puppies, Baldwin and Apollo. 


Photo and Video Release: Staff and contractors of Grow Cedar Valley often take photographs and shoot video during events. The photos and videos may be used on social media, in brochures, publications, and on our website. 

Time

Registration and networking begin at 7:30 with speaker starting promptly at 8.

Location

Hawkeye Community College Adult Learning Center

Park in the AEB-West lot, north of the building and across the street. Permits will be handed out that morning as needed.
