Hoopla Cheer & Ugly Sweater Contest

he bars and restaurants of downtown Cedar Falls are spreading the cheer again this year during our Hoopla Cheer drink contest! Elves will be concocting special batches of cheer on Thursday December 13th between 6pm and 10pm with the hopes to earn your vote. Stop by participating locations to sip and savor each drink, then vote for your favorite. Voting ballots are available at participating locations; drop your ballot at the Santa 50613 Mailbox at 4th and Main. For a list of participating locations please visit our Hoopla Cheer website! Also join us for the 5th Annual Holiday Hoopla Ugly Sweater Contest! Make sure you and your friends sport the ugliest Christmas sweater. We’ll hand out awards for Ugliest Sweater, Ugliest Vest, Ugliest Couple, Ugliest Group (3 or more), and Ugliest Headwear. Make memories with the little ones as you enjoy several other fun activities that will be taking place from 6-8pm. Follow the spectacular music and light show to Santa’s Workshop located at the corner of 4th and Main Streets where children can visit Santa and his elves. Your favorite holiday characters will also be strolling the streets to greet everyone. Free horse-drawn trolley rides will leave from the Cedar Falls Public Library throughout the evening.
